Summer Fishing

Wikipedia - Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment.
The definition couldn't be more accurate. My boys LOVE to fish. When I say love, I mean love!

Asher's first word was "mom," and his second was "fish"!!  He is defiantly his daddy's little boy

For family night a couple weeks ago we went to Mantua and went fishing/camping. It was really fun and I loved spending the time with my boys.

So Thomas put together this fishing activity for Perry City's 100 year anniversary.  Thomas was so creative and worked so many hours putting together everything. The crowds were expected to be big but they were not. The guy who we bought the fish from was also a couple hours late, so we also lost some time. It just broke my heart into a million pieces when everything pretty much went into the toilet and we ended up losing money. I was to sad to be mad and just tried to comfort my sad husband. We will recover and yes money is very important in life but I think the biggest lesson I learned is that it's NOT the most important thing and I'm proud of us for being so adventurous.

That night while everybody was cleaning the many left over fish, 500 to be exact!  Asher and I where at Thomas parents house going to bed. Asher and I were  saying good night prayers when in the middle Asher says all by himself.....

"Grandpa," So I then said, "please bless grandpa,
then he said "Grandma" and I said "yes please bless Grandma"
then he said "Aunt maggie" Then I said " yes please bless Maggie.
He then went on to say "daddy and last mommy." I almost burst into tears. He could tell we were all in need of some extra prayers and he blessed us all. Sometimes I'm just overwhelmed with how incredible my little boy is!!!!!

Asher caught this little fish and yes I did let him kiss it. I'm such a great mom. All the other mom's thought so to when I let him take it onto the park to slide down the slide. (haha)

Asher is also turning into a big boy and can go "pee pee" on the big boy potty. He loves the freedom and I don't even need to use treats by the sink. It's really nice because the kid doesn't need any sugar!!!!!  It just blows my mind that he can do it. I guess it's one of those "Ogosh my kid's growing up moment"

This cute little man caught the biggest fish in the pool and got goldfish crackers as a prize. Thank you so much Kurt and family. Your support was amazing. We also had some of Thomas neighbors show us lots of love and support as well. Thanks!

To Complain or not to Complain!

GOSH! I want to COMPLAIN about so many THINGS right know!! But...... I wont because LIFE is the BOMB! Bring it ON !!

In Church on Sunday we talked about how letting go of the little things that dont really matter and throwing them in the trash. Amen

Plus, how could I possible be anything but happy with this little boy running around my house

22

Today I turned 22 years old. I still feel pretty young, so I guess that's good. I have this weird memory. The day my sister Mimi turned 22 we were sitting out on our back porch and it was her 22nd birthday. I got this really overwhelming feeling like wow, my sister is 22! That's so Cool!  I've never forgotten that feeling. So for some reason reason it felt super cool and kinda super weird to turn 22. It just seems like yesterday that my sister did. I've done a lot of really cool things in the last 22 years.

- I was born
- I was adopted
- I cut my hair at age 3 and left in on the neighbors porch
- I wore glasses until I was a Junior in High School
- I've had lasik and bunion surgery
- I was a Madrigal
- I've had a million embarrassing moments
- I traveled to Californina, Washington D.C., Texes and New York with my dance group in high school
- I was an RA for a whole year
- I've traveled to the Bahama's with Thomas 5 months prego!
- I've been to a Taylor Swift concert
- I traveled to Alaska and was a go-cart tour guide
- I've kissed 10 boys (did you know that, Lol) Thomas is by far the best one:D :D
- I'm 6 months away from completing my 4 year degree in collge
- I got married in the Temple!!
- I've learned to cook better and be more crafty (that's saying a lot)
- I've had a c-section
- I've lived in a mobile home for 2 years and it was freaking awesome
- I've been married for 3 years
- I have the cutest almost two year old little boy!
- I now have hair that is so long, it is really close to touching my butt (It's our back up financial plan) bahahah
- I've learned that it's actually better to do the dishes thoughout the day, then to do them all at night!! (big one)

I've done a lot of other cool stuff to but that's just a list of 22 things that I could think of off the top of my head. I would have to say I'm very happy and living life to the fullest. This summer is full of some really fun plans and I'm really looking forward to a lot of fun things. I love having my birthday in the summer. I had a extremely incredible birthday full of love and fun. Yes I did get spoiled. I got an ipod nano (used, because were poor) YES, 2 shirts and a jacket! I loved my birthday it was great! I cant wait for the years ahead.

Just Thinking

My brother-in-law Morgan graduated from high school yesterday. I think it naturally brings back the memories of being young. Pretty sure I was the only one bawling, but ever since Asher was born I cry over just about anything and weddings are the worst. I don't even have to be related, or have any past relationships with the people getting married and I cry. I blog stock people and cry while reading people's trials and hardships. Haha, I even cry during Disney movies. It's pretty hilarious if you ask me.

Someday's I get really jealous of other people. I ask stupid questions like, "Why did I get married so young?" "Why did I have a baby so young?" "Why can't my skin be clear?" "Why don't I have more money?" "How would life be different?" I hate when I ask myself those questions. Because I'm so happy with my sweet life. I know it's the adversary trying to make me feel worthless. Someday's I just plain miss being young. I want to go shake all the little highschoolers heads and say, "You are only young once!!" Lol that's what I always tell my brother Morgan and it just goes right over his head. I also tell him, "Don't make any stupid decisions or you'll have to report to me!!" I hope that one sticks a little bit better. He is going off to Snow College and it just seems like yesterday I graduated from high school and went to Snow.

My heart goes out to all those who have and are struggling with trials they never dreamed of experiencing. I wish I could hug every single one of them. It makes me realize that I truly don't have any room to complain about anything. I really should be the one to be strong to help lift them up. I am so grateful for the amazing example they are to me. I guess the point of writing this post was to ramble and remind myself of how grateful and happy I truly am. I'm go grateful for the wonderful people God has put in my life. I know I frequently make stupid mistakes but I guess it makes life more interesting. May life be so happy and filled with tonz and tonz of happieness all over the place.

During Morgan's Graduation one of my best friends watched Asher. I was super glad I got a babysitter, it was 2 1/2 hours long and I got nice little kicks every couple minutes from the cute little kiddo's behind me. Stephanie Hyde is an amazing photographer and I would highly recommend her to anybody. She took these while babysitting and gave them to us as a surprise. I'm doing my practicum with her this summer. Gosh I love that girl, she is truly an amazing women. Luv ya steph!!

Three Incredible Years

May 17, 2011 means I have been married for three years. Being married is incredible because I married the most amazing guy. I feel blessed, I feel blessed, I feel very happy to be blessed. Thomas surprised me with a treat to Lava Hot Springs and it was really fun. I also got Tangled, roses and a full set of white tipped nails. I got super spoiled and loved every minute of it.

This picture is of our first date together. We got dressed up like nerds, got hand-cuffed and went bowling. Thomas even thinks I tried to hold his hand (haha) but we were hand-cuffed. How was I not suppose to touch his hand? Plus I thought he was really cute.....I couldn't help myself. At least we waited a month to kiss. I was pretty proud of that accomplishment!! I love this man, I can never get enough of him. Thanks for three awesome years sweetheart.

Fabulously Friday

A lot has happened in the past few weeks, this picture of Asher tells it all.

Yes, we ate double chocolate donuts on Tupperware, and drank milk out of a canning jar for breakfast. All while sitting on camping chairs. It must have been moving day. Asher loved it. We are extremely grateful and happy to be moving on.

Asher is the cutest little boy! I just cant get enough of him. His vocabulary is far and above, he can dress, eat, bath, get into the car and do a lot more things all by himself. He amazes every single person he meets. Yesterday we had a final get together for the mobile home park. When we are out eating with a huge group sometimes we don't say a prayer on the food. Asher on the other hand thought different. I put the pizza on his plate in front of him and started to eat mine. He gave me this look like Gosh mom, folded his arms and bowed his head. He took a quick glance at me and we said a prayer to bless the food. Can you say ADORABLE!
The last two weeks we lived in our trailer we got a bunny. His name was Rex. He was the most adorable bunny ever. If we could have kept him we would have because I seriously was in love. We sold him on KSL and will greatly miss him/or her?? Lol

So we moved to the Island. We have loved it so far and feel we will be really happy in our new place. It's right next to the river.  It's 2 bedrooms and has some sweet orange carpet. It's a lot smaller and noisier then our mobile home. We got spoiled for a long time :D :D  Thomas and Asher have already gone fishing multiple times and have caught some awesome fish. I honestly don't think Thomas could ever live somewhere that isn't right next to a river after living here for a year.

I PASSED STATISTICS!! Gosh it was an extremely challenging class to say the least. Pretty sure I cried on the phone with one of my favorite classmates when we found out we both passed the class with a C. I'm doing my practicum this summer, and talking one online class. In the fall I'll be taking two online classes, and then I'll be GRADUATED. Thomas will graduate in the Spring. A little over two full years of both going to school, having Asher, Thomas working, while managing to never take Asher to daycare has been completely insane. I'm so excited to get the little piece of paper that will proclaim with big awesomeness that I graduated from college. Yay! I get chills for excitement just thinking about being home all day with my sweet little Asher. Gosh I'm really excited!!
